解析：這道題雖然和近年來常考的，大家熟悉的題目“長得”不太一樣，給了一個非常具體的日常場景，但是並不難。因為題目本身非常個人化，所以大家也可以用非常personal的理由。

本題如果選擇去參加sister的生日派對，思路可以這樣說：
1. 我和家人們的感情很好，把他們看得比什麼都重，姐姐/妹妹的生日一年只有一次，我不想錯過她人生中重要的一天。如果我不能去，她會很難過，我也覺得有遺憾。

2. 如果我提前把情況告訴教授，我相信TA會理解的，因為我的教授人都很considerate很nice。而且，教授也可以再找其他的學生幫忙，我的缺席不會帶來問題。
本題如果選擇去幫教授忙，思路可以這樣說：
1. 對於目前的我來說，GPA和課業是最重要的，我不想放棄任何可以impress教授的機會，因為教授對我的好評對我的成績，簡歷還有未來有很大的影響。
2. 如果我提前把情況告訴我的sister，我相信她一定會理解的，不會生我的氣，因為TA是一個很considerate的人。而且我會給她買很棒的禮物來補償她。

範例：Well, I would choose to go to my sister's birthday party. My family is everything to me. They're more important than stuff like a better grade on a test or an opportunity to impress the professor. And my sister's birthday only happens once a year, so I really don't want to miss this important moment in her life. If I don't show up, she'll definitely feel upset and I don't want that to happen. Also, my professors are all very considerate, so I don't think they'll get mad if I turn them down, as long as | explain the situation to them in advance. Plus, they can always get someone else to help them, so I think my absence won't cause any problem.
