會中文的流行用語，英文的卻不知道怎麼說嗎?其實很簡單~提供幾個好記又有趣的口語英文讓你變身英文潮人!!!

  1. steal the show 搶鋒頭

也可用 steal the thunder 代替，不過steal the thunder 除了搶鋒頭外，還有竊取他人創意或點子的意思。

Taylor Swift totally stole the show when she showed up at my birthday party.
泰勒絲一出現在我的生日派對上就把鋒頭都搶走了。

It is really unethical to steal the thunder from someone else.
竊取他人的創意很不道德。

   2. go nuts 要瘋了

工作讓人抓狂、消息令人瘋掉等情景都可以使用，除了go nuts當然也可以用 go crazy。

After two days of nonstop working, our crew members went nuts.
經過兩天沒日沒夜的工作，團員們都快瘋掉了。

   3. suck it up 忍著點

工作不顺利、期末考難熬？suck it up 就是在鼓勵人忍著點並撐過難關。

I know the finals are tough, but you just have to suck it up and deal with it.
我知道期末考很不容易，但你就忍著點撐過去吧。

   4. slap in the face 打臉

“打臉”一詞其實很早就有了，意思是犯下的錯誤是自己說過的話。

The mayor promised that he will finish his term, so it was a slap in the face when he announced to run for president.
市長宣布要競選總統完全是打臉行為，因为他曾承諾會做滿任期。

   5. flattering photo 照騙

你是否常常在臉書上看到這樣的對話？A：「天哪，好正喔！」本人：「沒有啦，照騙而已～」

There are lots of tutorials on the Internet that teach you how to take aflattering photo of yourself.
網路上有很多教學會教你怎麼拍出自己的照騙。

但是當本人比照片好看時，可以用 The picture/photo doesn’t flatter you.

   6. for dummies 懶人包

for dummies 平常不會單獨使用，通常前面都會接一個主题，像是 English for dummies、Pregnancy for dummies 等等。這個詞源自於 Hungry Minds 公司出版的自學或教學參考書籍，而第一本 for dummies 是在 1991年11月出版的 DOS for dummies。此系列的特色就是深入浅出，善於用圖表介紹該領域知識，與懶人包的特性相符。

如果你想要出國留學，可以從閱讀懶人包下手。

   7. you’re so full of yourself 你少臭美了

身邊的人如果太自滿、自我感覺過於良好時，就可以用這句話。除了 you’re so full of yourself 也可以用 don’t be a smug.

A: I am a really nice boyfriend, right?
A: 我是一個超棒的男友吧？

B: You’re so full of yourself. / Don’t be a smug.
B: 你少臭美了
