一.完全倒裝

1.形容詞在句首要倒裝

·介詞片語/分詞片語/形容詞片語+連綴動詞+主語(主語與前面的動詞主謂一致)

(1)介詞片語在句首

Among the people was a man named Brown. 在這些人中有一個叫布朗的人。

(2)分詞作形容詞

·過去分詞(有時構成被動結構的過去分詞)提前到句首，引起倒裝

·構成進行時態的現在分詞也可以提到前面來

Helping them raise their artistic level are various professorial organizations.

·現在分詞提前到句首引起倒裝要和動名詞作主詞區別開來

·下面例句是動名詞作主詞：Teaching English is my job. / Visiting the Great wall is worthwhile.

(3)形容詞片語放句首

二.部分倒裝

1.一些表示頻率的副詞(如many a time, often等)位於句首時,句子部分倒裝.

2.用於“no sooner…than…, hardly…when…和not until等結構中”

3.用於省略if的虛擬條件狀語從句(把were, had, should放在主語前構成倒裝)

4. 用於“形容詞/名詞/動詞+as (though)”引導的讓步副詞子句，例如：

5. 否定副詞(never, not…, seldom, hardly, neither, nor, scarcely, rarely, no longer, barely, little)

6. So / Such 引導的倒裝句

7. Only在句首強調副詞Only when the meeting is over can we know the decision.
