在GRE考試的填空題目中，如果你仔細閱讀，會發現這樣一個有趣的現象，就是當題目中沒有明確指出某個人的名字，而是給了像CEO, playwright, governor, senator, narrator, writer, detective, spy等職位的時候，它們所對應的人一般是女性（she/her），主要是因保持政治正確（political correctness）

三個例子

例1： For all the tributes the new CEO has received from the press recently, her staff have a decidedly less rosy view of her.

例2： The playwright’s approach is startling in that her works jettison the theatrical devices normally used to create drama on the stage.

例3： The media once portrayed the governor as anything but ineffective; they now, however, make her out to be the epitome of fecklessness.
